I just can't help but thinking, if God is the answer... if he is our Hope and the purpose of our existence... then what in the world our we doing? We have the Great Commission and the Great Commandment and we still don't get it... I still don't get it. We are still living as if this world is our home! This is no surprise to anyone, we all know deep down that we have things in our life that we have no intention of giving over to God. Whether that be how we spend our money, what we do with our time or whatever. Do you realize that God knows everything? Nothing on this world was, is, or will ever be a surprise to him. He created it.

"We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased."
-C.S. Lewis

It is just like in Proverbs 26:11,"as a dog returns to his vommit, so a fool repeats his folly." Infinite joy is being offered to us, yet we refuse to spend time in God's Word. We are unwilling to pray for anything asides our food, and we couldn't care less about the lost people in this world. The crux of the matter is, we are far too prideful. Does anyone else see something wrong with a group of people who are so far from perfect and so good at acting like it? Sounds like a dysfunctional group to me.

You probably read all that and thought I was going to just tear down and have no solution. If that was so, it would be a tragedy. To your luck I have the answer, and I hope you do not find it surprising. The answer is simple...

JESUS.

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:13

PASSION 2011

Hey guys,

Wherever you're reading from I hope God is doing some great things in your life! Things in Kansas are moving quickly... Last week we experienced our first snowpocalypse of the year, it snowed about 14 inches! Weather in Kansas is so unpredictable, I wouldn't be surprised if this week it was sunny and 50 degrees. On another note, I can hardly believe that I have already been back in school for a month. Last week I purchased my ticket to attend PASSION 2011 with some friends from my church and I am so excited to see what God has in store for this generation! (There's a link on the "Must See" part for those of you who don't know what PASSION is.)
With the trip to India things are starting to move along. I've started the fund raising part and just sent out some letters along with shoveling driveways and such.

Getting Ready

Well hello there!

For those of you that don't know, this summer I will be going to intern in India for 5 weeks. I am just starting the preparations for the trip. Last week I found out that the place that I am staying at will not have meat and I will need to wear pants and shirts with a collar. This week I will be applying for a VISA and also sending out letters for support. It will also be the "hot" season and my dad told me if I drink the water I will be sick for weeks.
